Today I am meeting an old friend in town - we walk around the shops - we are not really very interested anymore, but our tour around prompts conversation - we don't actually need prompting.
Like on Saturday, I meet up with old friends and we walked around the space place - what the heck, we saw a space toilet, but actually conversation doesn't need stimulating - there is too much to fit in and I'm not talking sputnik here.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to my day out.
Being with people that you don't have to watch your Ps and Qs with and you are able to just carry on the conversation from last time is one of the many wonderful things about getting older.
Right it's time to write a list. Good things about getting older.
1. You have valued friends who have stood the test of time, who you can talk to without any niceties and carry on a conversation with from the last time you meet.
2. You can hug old friends and not let go for ages, without feeling a pervert.
3. Friends you don't have any longer from the past are not there for good reasons.
4. You realise that you don't have to be friends with everybody.
5. You know that those who boost that they have hundreds of friends lie.
